Course Description

Our Advanced Training Group is the deeper professional stage of TA Academy’s training pathway. It is designed for people who want to deepen their clinical and professional practice through sustained transactional analysis training, with progression towards CTA qualification and, depending on your field, goals and prior qualifications, broader professional recognition pathways. This programme is serious, in-depth and designed for people who are ready for a more substantial training commitment. Rather than focusing only on introductory theory, it supports deeper development in clinical understanding, advanced practice, treatment planning and professional integration. Advanced Training is intended for serious students and practitioners who want to strengthen therapeutic practice, work with more complex client presentations and relational dynamics, broaden their theoretical framework and prepare for certification-related progression. It also supports continued growth in both professional competence and personal development within a supportive and intellectually stimulating learning environment. Through this training, participants explore a wide range of advanced topics including diagnosis and treatment planning, attachment and child development, relational hungers and ruptures, psychoanalytic, psychodynamic and relational TA, metaphor and narrative work, group and couple work, addictions, anxiety, bereavement, depression, mental health frameworks, nervous system diagnosis, the role of the body, and research and exam preparation. What’s included: • 117 hours of training per year • Three 5-day in-person modules each year • Three 3-hour Zoom sessions each year • Topic-specific certificates for CPD use • An annual certificate of attendance for Advanced Clinical Training in Transactional Analysis • Ongoing tutor, self and peer competency evaluation Advanced Training is not designed as a first step. It is intended for people who have already completed TA Foundations and TA in Practice, or who have equivalent prior learning accepted by the Academy.
