Begin with TA Foundations
The best place to start is with module 1: ‘TA Foundations’: This five-day training is designed to give you a practical grounding in the core models of Transactional Analysis. It gives you the chance to experience the models for yourself, apply them with others and begin using them in your coaching work.
For coaches, this is a valuable first step in its own right. You will deepen your understanding of communication, behaviour and repeated patterns, while getting a feel for the Academy’s warm, experiential training style and the wider potential for professional development for coaches.

You do not need prior Transactional Analysis or psychotherapy experience to begin. Our TA Foundations module is designed as a practical starting point for coaches who want to build deeper understanding, broaden your scope and see whether this psychotherapy pathway is the right fit for you.
From the first module, you’ll gain useful insight, practical tools and a stronger framework for understanding behaviour and communication. If you choose to continue, the training also opens the door towards PBANZ registration as a Certified Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist (CTA-P).
