Course Description
TA Foundations is a five-day introduction to Transactional Analysis designed to help you understand yourself, relate to others more effectively and begin applying TA in real life and work. This course is practical, experiential and professionally robust. Rather than only learning concepts in theory, you will experience the core models of TA for yourself, explore how they show up in communication, relationships and repeated patterns, and see how they can strengthen your personal and professional practice. TA Foundations is suitable for practising professionals, career changers and those seeking personal and professional development. It is relevant across counselling, psychotherapy, coaching, leadership, education, health and organisational settings, and no prior TA experience is required. You will gain a practical framework for understanding communication, stronger self-awareness, insight into early decisions and repetitive patterns, and greater awareness of relational dynamics across both personal and professional contexts. You will also build confidence in applying TA concepts in ways that feel useful and relevant to your existing work. The five-day format is designed to reduce travel time and costs for people travelling from around New Zealand. It brings the same 36 training hours that might otherwise be spread across three weekends into one focused module. The first day begins after lunch and the fifth day finishes before lunch, allowing travel on both days. What’s included: • Internationally recognised TA101 Certificate • 14 ICF Continuing Coach Education (CCE) credits • A further 24 hours of Advanced TA Training and a Certificate of Completion • 5 days | 36 training hours TA Foundations can stand alone as a powerful first course in personal and professional development, and it is also the first step in the wider TA Academy pathway for those who may wish to continue into further training later. It also gives you the chance to experience the Academy’s training style before deciding whether to progress further. If you have already completed a TA101 elsewhere, this course may still be worthwhile as a way to refresh and deepen your learning through practical application. A $500 refund is available to participants who complete the full TA Foundations course and provide a valid TA101 certificate for verification. Certificates may be submitted before the course or presented on arrival. Session Times: Mon: 2pm - 7pm Tue-Thur: 9am - 7pm Fri: 9am - 1pm
