RELATED SPECIALIST TRAINING
Psychotactile Therapy for Trauma-Focused Practitioners
Alongside TA Academy’s core Transactional Analysis pathway, we offer a specialist two-day Psychotactile Therapy workshop for qualified and training mental health professionals working with trauma. This experiential workshop explores neuroscience, somatic awareness and the safe, ethical use of structured touch within trauma-informed practice.

TA Academy is led by Dr Mandy Lacy and Gerry Pyves, two highly experienced trainers with complementary backgrounds in Transactional Analysis, counselling, psychotherapy, organisational work, supervision, learning and embodied practice.
Together, they bring depth, clarity and real-world experience to the training room. Their shared aim is to offer high-quality transactional analysis training that is engaging, supportive and professionally serious, while helping students grow in both competence and confidence.
Grounded in Recognised Standards
TA Academy’s training is aligned with recognised professional standards and designed to support clear progression through the wider pathway. This includes the globally recognised qualification of “Certified Transactional Analysis” (CTA) in the fields of Psychotherapy, Counselling, Organisations and Education. Here in New Zealand our training is recognised and accredited by the Psychotherapy Board of New Zealand (PBANZ), resulting in registration as a psychotherapist upon qualification. Our training is also designed to fulfil all the requirements for accreditation with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.
